Growing dahlias from seed can be very exciting. As dahlias being grown from seed will be completely random and can be any size, height, shape, or color. Consider this similar to growing wild flower seed. Although 90%+ of the successful seed in the mix will grow to be collarette (open-centered) or single type dahlias. The seed grown dahlias will produce a small clump of tubers for you to keep for seasons to come. Start them indoors or plant out after last frost. Germination period is approximately 3-21 days.
